The programes for the four cities are rather different, so in order to get a fuller view one must attend at least two venue.
The tour start out in Orange Country with a mixed programme and Nikolaj Hübbe's re-wamped "Napoli".
The mixed programme features Nordic choreographers: Nikolaj Hübbe and Thomas Lund's
"Bournonville Variations" a piece for twelve male dancers rediscovering Bournonville variations and a major local hit. "Lost on Slow" a work created for the company by Finnish Choreographer Jorma Elo. "Earth" is likewise created for the company by another Fin Jorma Uotinen to Metallica music played by a classical ensemble. "Earth" is a tribal piece for Fourteen male dancers and a great audience favorite.
And finally Johan Kobborg's yet unseen work for his parent company "Alumnus".
The Nordic choereographers continue to Berkeley ad is paired with Bournonville's romantic "La Sylphide" in Nicolaj Hübbe's production and Flemmings Flindt's "The Lesson."
In Washington it is possible to view Hübbes two newest production of Bournonvilles "A Folk Tale " and Napoli", wherease New York get "La Sylphide", Third act of "Napoli", "The Lesson", "Bournonville Variations" and "Lost on Slow".
In the upcoming month I will bring articles on each of these ballet as well as writing on some of the choregraphers and work left at home, who says as much on the company as the works presented on tour like Balanchine, Robbins, eumeier and alumnies es Ratmansky and Rushton.
